Chica Linda is Pru Granger's palomino horse and a major character in Spirit Riding Free. Chica Linda has a stall in the barn.

Chica Linda comes from Miradero just like Pru Granger.

She is the acquaintance of Tugaboo, Señor Carrots, Junipero, Mystery.

Chica Linda is friends with Scoops, Meatball, Liberty, Dusty, Tiger Lili, Camilo, Beans in the Palomino Fault.

Personality[]

Chica Linda is kind-hearted, brazen, sassy and smart, just like her rider.

History[]

Turo made Chica Linda's saddle when Pru was only eight years old, and Pru has had it ever since.[1]

Chica Linda often performs in shows and competitions. Riding Chica Linda, Pru took gold in the Penna Junior Classic horse riding competition on January 2nd of Lucky's first winter back in Miradero, fulfilling Pru's New Year's resolution to take gold in a show.[2] As other examples, Chica Linda competed in Silverlode the week after the Governor's Ball[3] and again in Cannon City the week after the earthquake.[4]

The night before the church bake-off, robbers identified Chica Linda as a show horse and tried to steal her, but she was rescued by Boomerang and Spirit Jr..[5]

When Spirit was injured by a mountain lion, Chica Linda dragged him back to the barn from outside the Prescott House on a sledge.[6]

Chica Linda and Pru took on dressage one time, and although she did perfect moves the first time, the second time, Eliza slipped a jax piece into her saddle, making her and her rider mess up. In the finals, Chica Linda helped Pru save Rose's life after she was thrown off her horse and nearly trampled. She and her rider won the 4th place trophy after being given another chance

When the PAL went to the city for a boarding school interview, Spirit ran away. Lucky rode Chica Linda with Pru so that they could find Spirit. Chica Linda is not as strong as Boomerang, but still fairly strong.

  • Chica Linda's name means "pretty girl" in Spanish.
  • She is the only one of the three main horses to be a female.
